Arthritis is common amongst Australians and can affect people of all ages. Arthritis and its associated pain is one of the most common reasons people visit our practice to receive advise and assistance from our Osteopaths.
Arthritis can also cause people to feel some anxiety at times, however often with the correct diagnosis, imaging, examination, treatment, management and knowledge this anxiety can quickly be resolved.

- mechanical such as osteoarthritis, where osteoarthritis is the commonest form of arthritis or
- inflammatory such as rheumatoid arthritis or gout.
Our Osteopaths have extensive experience in arthritis and in working to relieve the associated pain. We believe to achieve results spending time with each person is key. Our initial consultations are 55 minutes to 1 hour, with all standard subsequent consultations being 35 to 40 minutes. This time allows us to take a thorough history in order to understand each patient and their needs. An examination is conducted and subsequent diagnosis is discussed to provide insight and knowledge on how to best manage the condition. Treatment and an individualised management plan is also put in place.
Our Osteopaths understand the body is a complex unit and in order to assist a patient with individualised management advise we take into account a persons age, abilities, limitations, occupation, gender, interests and mindset.
